ReGAIN was created by Dr. Greg Asbury, DNM, PhD. to empower individuals with personalized, science-informed strategies that support brain health, whole body-mind-spirit wellness, and long-term cognitive resilience.

For decades, cognitive decline was widely viewed as an unavoidable consequence of aging. Today, research increasingly suggests that lifestyle, metabolic health, stress physiology, sleep, and targeted nervous system support all play meaningful roles in how the brain functions over time.

ReGain was founded to translate this emerging research and incorporate time-honored energy practices into practical, individualized programs that people can understand, engage with, and sustain.

Our work is guided by a simple principle: Support the systems that support the brain.

Part of our mission is to spread the word that cognitive decline and dementia is not inevitable. Dr. Greg frequently speaks to groups and provides a demonstration of Myndlyft and PhotoBioModulation to show how these new technologies can train and stimulate the brain.

Dr. Greg Asbury’s work is shaped by a lifelong commitment to healing—grounded in science, informed by ancient traditions, and forged through personal loss.

Greg’s path toward medicine began early but was profoundly altered in college when his 16-year-old brother died of cancer despite the most advanced treatments available at the time.

Soon after, he witnessed the devastating effects of dementia firsthand. In the early 1990s, both of his parents experienced cognitive decline, navigating loss of independence at a time when few effective treatments existed. Greg became their advocate and caregiver, guiding them through years of increasing support and care.

Following his parents’ passing in 2003, Greg renewed his calling as a healer. He trained in energy medicine with indigenous healers in the Andes and Amazon, seeking to understand how ancient healing traditions might complement modern science.

To integrate these traditions with rigorous scientific inquiry, Greg earned his Doctor of Natural Medicine and Ph.D., positioning himself as a bridge between Western allopathic care and time-honored healing practices. His doctoral research was among the first to use wearable technology to objectively measure the physiological effects of guided shamanic visual journeying on stress, tracking EEG, heart-rate variability, and other biomarkers—helping bring measurable evidence to practices long considered subjective.

In 2025, a close friend’s diagnosis of early Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease reignited his focus on neurodegenerative conditions. Immersing himself in emerging research, Dr. Asbury discovered growing evidence that cognitive decline is not always inevitable—and that meaningful improvement and quality of life are often possible.

Today, Dr. Asbury dedicates his practice to supporting brain health and whole-person wellness, integrating innovative technology, evidence-informed research, and energy-based and holistic approaches to care.
